Aerosmith To Replace Steven Tyler???
November 6, 2009 by Roberta
What on Earth is the world coming to??
I just heard the news that the guys in Aerosmith are actually considering replacing frontman Steven Tyler. WHAT?!???
Aerosmith would NOT be Aerosmith without Steven, so this is just ludicrous.
Joe Perry said that after Steven fell off a stage at a motorcycle rally, that he has “got to get his act together” if they are going to survive as a band.
Brad Whitford confirmed that the band is set to hold meetings to discuss their future and whether or not includes Steven. He said, “I’m not sure how good that would look, it would largely depend on who we could get and who would want to do it. That’s big shoes to fill. Nobody could replace Steven or imitate him – he’s one of a kind. But if somebody was willing to do it and the chemistry was right, why not?”
As a long-time Aerosmith fan, I would have to say that I would turn my back on them if they replaced him. There’s no second best when it comes to Steven Tyler, he IS Aerosmith and the others should be lucky that he allows them to ride his coattails.
/Rant off.

Jay-Z To Go To The Moon?
November 6, 2009 by Roberta
Apparently it’s Jay-Z’s mission in life to make the trek to the moon.
He has accomplished a lot in his career already, but says that he has one thing he’s got left to accomplish. When asked what that was, by Gotham magazine, he replied, “Go to the moon.”
Wouldn’t it be crazy if he actually performed a show on the moon? He could take Beyonce. No one has done it before. Maybe they would like it so much that they would stay? Hah! I kid, I kid…Or do I?
Seriously, he needs to hook up with Richard Branson for his first flight to the moon. It’s not like he can’t afford it, right?

Demi Lovato Dating Joe Jonas?
November 5, 2009 by Roberta
Someone cracked open an entire Pandora’s Box when they claimed that Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas were dating. ZackTaylor reported that the singer is dating Joe and that he got the news straight from Demi’s mother, Dianne.
She has denied the rumors, taking to her Twitter page to tell everyone this:
There’s been a lot of rumors lately that I’m dating one of my best friends Joe. I can promise my entire career that I am not.
We’ve NEVER dated. He’s incredible, but we don’t have feelings for eachother in that way. I love you guys, and I wouldn’t lie about that.
I wouldn’t lie about it either, the boy is fine.

Leona Lewis Is Now Anxious To Tour
November 4, 2009 by Roberta
Leona Lewis was so terrified to go on tour that she was shaking out of nervousness. Now, she’s anxious to get back out there and do it some more. Practice makes perfect!
I imagine it had to be hard to pick herself back up after the attack at her book signing, but she just keeps on truckin’!
She said, “I wasn’t nervous until I got to the side of the stage, then I started shaking. I felt it went so fast – and now I just want to do it again. I can’t wait to tour next year.”
Part of her nervous anxiety came from knowing that former mentor Simon Cowell was in the audience.
She added, “I was so worried about falling over in front of Simon during ‘Outta My Head’. I only had a day to learn the steps. I’ve never done anything like that before. I was so nervous.”
I hope she brings her show to the States. I hear they are sparing no expense.

Joss Stone Blasts Lily Allen?
November 4, 2009 by Roberta
Joss Stone has taken a nasty dig at Lily Allen, calling her a “personality” rather than a singer.
Stone decided to take her frustrations out on Allen after Allen spearheaded a campaign against illegal file sharing. Stone insists that artists should just accept that they don’t need to earn a lot of money to enjoy what they’re doing. She added that Allen only started the campaign so that she could earn the brunt of her money on CD sales, instead of live concerts.
She said, “She needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offense to her because I think she knows that, too. I think she’s a performer and she’s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music, people come to the show and that’s what we make our money from, from playing live. And I think it’s probably harder for an artist like Lily and any other pop acts. It’s really about the track and about their personality and their celebrity and that’s how they make their money is selling those records….Who said that musicians have to be millionaires? Who made this a rule? We don’t need that much money. We just don’t. We only need enough to make music and to eat and to go on tour.”
Take that Lily!

Hulk Hogan Wanted To Play Bass For Metallica?
November 3, 2009 by Roberta
Hulk Hogan said that he almost gave up his wrestling career after hearing that Metallica was seeking out a bass player.
He said, “When Metallica was looking for a bass player, I called and never heard a word back from them. I would have quit wrestling in a heartbeat to be a bass player for Metallica.
He also wanted the opportunity to play bass for The Rolling Stones. He adds, “I was in England presenting an award with Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger’s ex, and she told me The Stones were looking for a bass player. I sent her a ton of merchandise that she asked for and said, ‘Tell Mick I’m a great bass player.’ I never heard a word back.”
Wahh wahh wahh…
Can he stop acting like he doesn’t have a career full of fame already? Jeez, this guy is more whiney than Lars Ulrich.

Ashlee Simpson Is Giving Up Music
November 3, 2009 by Roberta
For the love of all things holy, thank goodness Ashlee Simpson has decided to step away from the microphone!
She says that the reasoning behind her musical sacrifice is because of her son, Bronx.
A source close to the former actress/singer said, “She’s reading scripts. Acting is her focus now. If she had an album, she’d have to tour and be away from Bronx. She wants consistency.”
Sure she does….it’s not because she doesn’t have any talent, right? Ha.

Slayer Might Be Retiring?
October 30, 2009 by Roberta
What the crap!??!!
Rumor has it that Slayer might be hanging up their guitars and retiring.
Frontman Tom Araya said that he has retirement on the brain, mostly because he wants to spend time with his family.
He said, “We don’t know yet. I know this much: being away from your family so much doesn’t get any easier. I’ve been married for 15 years. I have a 13-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son and I want to make up for all the time I wasn’t there. I have nieces and nephews I’ve barely seen. This life demands so much of you, personally and physically. I honestly don’t know how I did the first 15 years of Slayer.”
I know how you did it, you banged your head through it. I understand where he’s coming from, but as a die-hard Slayer fan, I hope their music never dies.
