AC/DC’s current world tour could be Brian Johnson’s last. He says that he doesn’t want to appear old in the eyes of his fans and would rather quit before that happens.
He says, “It’s not that I want to give in, but there’s a time when you say, ‘I’m gonna give it one more try.’ You shouldn’t go out there and have people say, ‘You should have seen them 10 years ago, but God bless ‘em.’ I hate that.”

AC/DC’s bandmembers think they have the reasoning behind their Black Ice tour selling out, they say that the crowd bought their tickets to see them die on stage. They sold out within hours of going on sale earlier this month and Brian Johnson says that their age may have something to do with it.
He says, “Some fans are saying, ‘The singer’s 61. I’m going to that gig. I might see him die.’ So I’ve got a fitness guy coming in from Formula 1 who’s gonna work with me for two weeks. I might see him die.’ So I’ve got a fitness guy coming in from Formula 1 who’s gonna work with me for two weeks. He’s a specialist in stamina. He’s gonna work us like a dog.”

At least he’s getting taken care of so the headlines won’t read: “AC/DC frontman dies on stage!” Good for him. AC/DC is classic and that would definitely be a tragedy.

Death metal band Deicide have topped a new list of bands whose music is played to military prisoners in Iraq. They must be so proud!
The Florida group finished ahead of AC/DC, Eminem, and Metallica on this list, from reports, interrogation logs, and personal accounts.
Deicide drummer Steve Asheim says of the accolade, “It’s cool. If we’re up to military standards of audio abuse, it makes me feel like Deicide’s doing our part for the troops.”
They’re happy that they’re music is being used to torture people?

Bassist Cliff Williams says, “We’re going to get together and get in the studio and I fully expect we will tour. (When) the last tour ended in early 2001, you’d see kids on their dads’ shoulders. And these kids were like 10, 12 years old. It will be tremendous to see that again.”

Can’t wait!!
