Brandon Flowers Has High Hopes For The Killers
April 30, 2009 by Roberta
Brandon Flowers thinks he and his band can knock legends Led Zeppelin and Nirvana off of their “pedestals”????
What? That’s a little reaching, isn’t it?
Flowers talked to NME and said that the band has already conquered its British market and now needs to concentrate on the U.S. He said that we Americans are still so concentrated on Led Zeppelin and Nirvana, that there’s no room for them.
He says, “We’ve been embraced in Britain in a way that I’ll never understand, and it’s such a wonderful thing,” he declared. “But over here [in America], people are still so obsessed with …read more
Paul McCartney thinks Led Zeppelin reunion without Robert Plant is a disappointment

The remaining members of Led Zeppelin have already decided to tour next year without Robert Plant. Much to my dismay, they are auditioning replacements for Plant and are going to name their band something else.
Paul McCartney has come forward to express his disappointment at the band for reuniting without Plant. He basically says that the reunion won’t be the same without Plant.
He says, “What’s happened to Planty? He was great at their gig. It’s such a pity.”
Agreed!
Led Zeppelin to tour under a different name without Robert Plant?
Led Zeppelin have confirmed that they are going to go on tour without singer Robert Plant. Much to the protest of other singers and fans alike, they’ve announced that they plan to tour in 2009 without their famous singer, who opted out of the reunion.
The rest of the band are auditioning singers to take over the frontman position of the band. And any tours done by the group will not be under the name Led Zeppelin.
Their spokesman says, “Whatever this is, it is not Led Zeppelin. Not without the involvement of Robert Plant.”

Chris Cornell doesn’t like Led Zeppelin without Robert Plant

Chris Cornell shares the same idea about a Led Zeppelin reunion without singer Robert Plant as I do. It’s “depressing.”
Zeppelin announced plans to tour next year without Plant last month and Chris Cornell has said that he has no plans whatsoever to take Plant’s place. That’s a good thing, because while he’s a great singer, he’s no Robert Plant. No one is and no one could possibly take his place.
He said, “I would never do anything like that whether I were approached or not. It just doesn’t make any …read more
Led Zeppelin is looking for a replacement for Robert Plant
October 28, 2008 by Roberta

John Paul Jones has confirmed the news that Led Zeppelin is about to go on a world tour after they’ve found a replacement for Robert Plant. They offered Plant the opportunity to get back together with the group, but he declined.
Steven Tyler of Aerosmith was rumored to be stepping into Plant’s shoes, but they’re heavy shoes to fill. Think he could do it? While I love both singers, there just isn’t going to be another Robert Plant.
John Paul Jones says, “As soon as we know who it is, we’ll …read more
Led Zeppelin is back!!!
Led Zeppelin is planning a full tour for next summer, with Robert Plant set to rejoin the band. Woot!
The band have yet to confirm to plans, but reports have surfaced that they are reuniting and will be hitting the road next year.
A source says, “He [Plant] realized he couldn’t face the thought of not being involved. The band were over the moon when he told them the news.”
I can’t wait! Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite bands of all time. I hope they come to Ohio!
More Led Zeppelin tour rumors
March 28, 2008 by Roberta
After performing their one-off gig, Robert Plant said that a full tour wasn’t in the cards for Led Zeppelin.
Now, Plant says that more shows could be on the way.
He said to Britain’s Uncut magazine, “Hopefully one day, we could do it again.”
John Paul Jones, added that he and Jimmy Page agree: “We spoke afterwards, and we both thought the same – it felt like the first night of a tour. “You think, ‘Oh, I could do that a bit better, or change something in that song.’ And we didn’t get a chance to do any more.”
I wish they’d get …read more

Rumor has it that Velvet Revolver is set to support Led Zeppelin for a full tour! That’s rockin’ news, I’ve seen Velvet Revolver in concert and the show was nothing short of electric!
Duff McKagan of Velvet Revolver says that he’s pretty sure that there will be a Led Zeppelin reunion tour as soon as frontman Robert Plant is done doing his thing with Allison Krauss. He’d better get it over with already, us fans are ready to see them…like now!
He went on to say that VR has been …read more
Robert Plant turns down $200 million for Led Zeppelin reunion tour

I guess it’s not about the money for Robert Plant. Sources say that Led Zeppelin were offered a sum of $200 million to tour around the globe, and all of the rest of the band members were up for it, except for Robert Plant.
He’s determined to leave his legacy with the one-off concert he did last year in memory of Ahmet Ertegun.
Take the money, Plant!! We need to see Led Zeppelin in concert. Don’t walk away from your fans!
But he wants to hang …read more
