Mariah Carey To Play Madison Square Garden On New Year’s Eve

Mariah Carey is one of the performers who has already signed up to play Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve!

Mariah will help us all ring in the new year with a concert set along with some other hush hush guests.

Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow, with her fan club members getting first dibs. Tickets to the general public are going on sale on November 14th.

Mariah Carey Delays Her Upcoming Album

Pop diva Mariah Carey is taking her name out of the 2009 Grammy race by releasing her upcoming album, “Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel” 15 days later than originally planned.

The Grammys allow a cutoff date of August 31st for album to be considered for a Grammy win. Her album, which was slated to be released on August 25th, is now reportedly going to be seeing a release date of September 15th.

The reasoning behind all of the hoopla? It’s because Mariah doesn’t feel that the album is finished the way she likes it and thinks it should be perfect before its release.

I love that she’s thinking of her fans and the final product instead of trying to nab more awards. If the music is good, the awards will come.

Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, & Beyonce To Perform At Michael Jackson’s Funeral

According to sources, we’re hearing that an all star lineup of Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce, and Whitney Houston are all set to perform at Michael Jackson’s memorial tomorrow.

The memorial is set for tomorrow morning at 10am PST at the Staples Center. Tickets were made available to the public free, via a random drawing. 1.6 million people reportedly registered for the event. Tickets had already been sprouting up all over eBay, reaching from hundreds of dollars to thousands before being yanked.

When album release dates coincide, Papa Joe takes the gloves off. Apparently, Joe Simpson has reportedly leaked Mariah Carey’s album so that Ashlee wouldn’t have to face poor album sales due to Mariah’s new album coming out at the same time.

What Papa Joe doesn’t know is that Ashlee was going to face poor album sales anyways.

A source told MSNBC, “Joe Simpson has every right to be nervous about Ashlee going up against Mariah. They are backed into a corner with this release date since they already changed it once. Their only option in fighting the Mariah machine would be to create a way to make the album’s release less newsworthy.”

Mariah Carey wants a Stephen Hawking voicebox

Mariah Carey is rumored to have said that she wants a voice box like Stephen Hawking. If you don’t know who Stephen Hawking is, he’s that science guy that talks with an electronic voice box because he HAS to.

Doh!

Her take on it:

“Before a big show I’m not allowed to speak for two days. It’s boring writing notes. I need Stephen Hawking’s voice machine so I think and it comes out in a robot voice.”

My take: Retarded. Why would you say you want something that the poor guy needs because he can’t talk on his own. Some people aren’t thankful for what they do have.
