Rumor has it that if you’re a fan of reformed boybanders New Kids on the Block, then you’re in for a treat!

Sources say that the new old stars are planning to release a greatest hits album right after the release of their new CD, The Block.

I wonder if they’re going to attempt to sing all of their old stuff for their new album.

Still think Joey McIntyre can hit those high notes ala Please Don’t Go Girl?

The new album from 80’s throw back New Kids on the Block is called “The Block”. It’s been revealed that the album will be in stores on September 2nd.

The next song coming from NKOTB will be called, “Single” and will feature Ne-Yo.

The album also features guest appearances from Timbaland, Teddy Riley, RedOne, and Polow Da Don.

Newly reformed has-been boy band, New Kids on the Block are planning a release date of September 8th for their new album.

The group performed together for the first time in 14 years in April on the Today Show, when they did their newest single, Summertime.

What prompted this former boy band to reunite? According to them, it was the music:

“We were driven by the music,” group member Joey McIntyre says of the decision to reunite. “Donnie [Wahlberg] and I both live in L.A., and we have had conversations about the offers we’ve gotten in the past. This time around, Donnie was the loudest and pushed the hardest in terms of getting going on the music. His excitement was really infectious.”

Sure it wasn’t the money?

Newly reunited New Kids on the Block are set to play their first concert in 14 years. They are set to play alongside Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks, the Jonas Brothers, and others.

I’m still not sold on their new stuff, by the sounds of their first song, but if it gets more like the older stuff, then I may listen.

Maybe I’ll just put it on mute and watch Joey McIntyre…hehe

You may not want to see the lineup, but your kids might. Think they’ll be as popular this time around? They’ll probably get a ton of airplay on this one because of touring with Miley Cyrus. She’s the next Britney Spears, ya know?
