Syl Johnson, a soul singer and musician, is suing Cypress Hill over the “theft” of his song, Is It Because I’m Black. He’s claiming that Cypress Hill used his song on their song Lock Down. The album that Lock Down was on was released in 1993. I have to wonder why he waited so long to sue. The similarities are obvious. Don’t you think?

The Osbournes are reportedly set to return to television to do their own variety show.

The show doesn’t have a name yet, but will feature musical performances (yeah!) and comedy sketches, and may even include a segment in which the Osbournes meet another family of the same name and spend time with them.

The series is due to launch with a Christmas special and will see Ozzy “skewering pop culture” and will play up the sibling rivalry between Kelly and Jack.

Bill Cosby is releasing a hip hop album….and don’t call it rap, either, because he doesn’t dig the whole rap thing.

He says, “(The album is) the opposite of what I think is the profanity for no particular reason, the misogyny for no particular reason. It really looks at the frustration and the anger that a young man may have.”

The album is called Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency and it’s set for a May release.

I’d probably buy it. Bill Cosby is the mack.

According to sources, Cher is suffering from diverticulitis, a stomach illness that causes inflammation and serious abdominal pain:

The 61-year-old singer flew to Europe after struggling to cope with the crippling pain, and was told she has diverticulitis, an inflammation of pockets in the intestines. A source tells the National Enquirer, “Cher’s been in agony for weeks. She’s suffered terrible abdominal pain and consulted a variety of doctors, including MDs, alternative doctors and even Eastern mystics.” German doctors have given Cher a special high-fiber diet they hope will counter the inflammation. The disease causes bloating, pain and digestion problems.

In most cases, diverticulitis can be treated with a special diet and anti-biotics, but it can require surgery to remove inflamed sections of the intestine.
