Radiohead Is Taking A Break From Music?

In a recent interview for Believer magazine, Thom Yorke alluded to straying from the traditional long-playing albums. It seems as if he’s really saying that Radiohead is taking a long, much needed break.

York said, “None of us want to go into that creative hoo-ha of a long-play record again. Not straight off. I mean, it’s just become a real drag. It worked with ‘In Rainbows’ because we had a real fixed idea about where we were going. But we’ve all said that we can’t possibly dive into that again. It’ll kill us.”

Trent Reznor hits out at Radiohead for insincere music download

Putting out In Rainbows on the internet for download was a pioneering moment for music and for Radiohead. But before you pass out the kudos, Trent Reznor has a beef with the whole idea.
He says that he liked the fact that Radiohead allowed fans to pay what they wanted for the album, however, what he didn’t particularly care for was the crappy download that fans got. He called it, “Myspace quality” music.

Courtney Love & others to go the way of Radiohead?

Is Courtney Love going the way of no label predecessors, Radiohead? Radiohead released In Rainbows for the pay anything price and some are calling this an end to record labels. On the other side of that coin, however, is the fact that over 60 percent of people who downloaded In Rainbows, did so for free. Courtney Love is now a free agent and has said that she liked the Radiohead idea.
