Velvet Revolver has reportedly scrapped plans to turn their search for a replacement for Scott Weiland into a reality show.
I guess they didn’t want to go the same way that Tommy Lee did when doing Rockstar Supernova?
Matt Sorum says, “We felt that wasn’t the right forum for us to do it, so we got some ideas and we should have that news in a couple weeks… and I think it’s going to surprise everybody.”
I hope they get someone good…..I’d hate to see VR fall by the wayside.
Any guesses what they’ve got up their sleeves?

After reuniting with Stone Temple Pilots, Scott Weiland says that he plans to release his second solo album by November.
He plans to tour with STP this summer, starting in Columbus, Ohio next month.
He has enlisted No Doubt’s Adrian Young on the project and hopes to have the album out by November.
Let’s hope he hasn’t turned into another Axl Rose with Chinese Democracy.
