Adam Lambert Wants To Work With Slash

According to Adam Lambert’s Twitter account, if he had the chance to work with legendary Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, he would jump all over it.

When a fan asked this:
@adamlambert Are you going to be working with Slash in the future? PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE! That would be so WOW!!!!!!!!
Adam responded with this:
@Glitter__Fairy we gave talked about it. I hope so… we both want to. It’s a matter of “when”
I can’t wait to hear what kind of glam rock infusion they can come up with together. That would be so rockin’. Don’t you agree?

Rumor Busted: Slash Is NOT Working With Avril Lavigne!

Earlier, I wrote a piece about Avril Lavigne enlisting the help of Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash on her upcoming album. Apparently, Mr. Hudson is not amused.

Slash took to his official Twitter to dispel the rumors, by simply saying that it’s not happening.
He said, “I am not working w/Avril Lavigne.”
There you have it! I guess while there still may be a rock album in Avril Lavigne’s future, it just won’t be featuring Slash on the guitar. That sucks, I was looking forward to their supposed collaboration.

Avril Lavigne Is Working With Slash On A Rock Album?

We’ve just heard from a very credible source that Avril Lavigne has enlisted the help of Slash for her upcoming album, which is reportedly due out this year.

She is recording an all rock album with the legendary guitarist, but has also been in the studio working with Max Martin.
It’s about time for some new music from Avril, so I can’t wait to hear this new rock album that she’s working on.
Are you excited?

Slash is working on a solo album and/or a possible third Velvet Revolver album, slated for 2009. He said that he’s “at the very tail end of the demo phase” for his solo effort and hopes to begin recording next year.
During Velvet Revolver’s last tour, he began working on material and says, “There’s really no particular direction. I just wanted to take a little bit of a break from all the politics and the democracy that is a band and just sort of do my own thing for a little bit. …read more

Fergie and Slash did a duet?

This has got to be the oddest and most weird collaboration for Slash yet, but he teamed up on stage with “The Dutchess” Fergie Ferg.
He joined her at her Costa Mesa, California show last Friday to perform some rockin’ tunes, one of which being Sweet Child O’ Mine. I can only imagine how she karaoke-butchered that one.
She welcomed him on stage and introduced him to her fans, saying, “Some of you little ones may know him from Guitar Hero, but I know him from a band called Velvet Revolver and a band called Guns N’ f**king Roses!”

Before all of you Velvet Revolver lovers get your panties in a wad, Slash hasn’t formed another band to replace VR, he’s just doing it for the launch concert at Las Vegas’ Red Rock Resort.
He’s recruited Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains, Jason Bonham from Led Zeppelin, and there were rumors that Royston Langdon would be joining his Blues Ball Band for the Saturday show.
There’s also going to be some other surprise guests planned.

Velvet Revolver scrap reality TV plans?

Velvet Revolver has reportedly scrapped plans to turn their search for a replacement for Scott Weiland into a reality show.
I guess they didn’t want to go the same way that Tommy Lee did when doing Rockstar Supernova?
Matt Sorum says, “We felt that wasn’t the right forum for us to do it, so we got some ideas and we should have that news in a couple weeks… and I think it’s going to surprise everybody.”
I hope they get someone good…..I’d hate to see VR fall by the wayside.
Any guesses what they’ve got up their sleeves?

Slash gives Deborah Harry a makeover

Slash gives Deborah Harry a makeover

Slash was at Virgin Radio’s London headquarters being interviewed on Wednesday and decided to sneak and deface a picture of Blondie while he was there.
He gave Blondie’s painting a black eye, moustache, and a beard when he told the staff that he needed a marker and had to use the bathroom. The station bosses are seeing the humor in the act and are leaving the painting up as a great story to tell other visitors.
