Zac Efron has pulled out of the remake of “Footloose”.
He was rumored to be taking over the lead role, which was made famous by Kevin Bacon. Paramount executives have confirmed that he’s no longer a part of the project.
They’ve released a statement saying, “Footloose is a project we’ve longed to see rebooted for a new generation. While Zac is no longer attached, we remain excited.”
Why don’t they just have Kevin reprise his old role? After being scammed by Bernie Madoff, he probably needs the cash.

It would seem that Zac Efron’s recent success with High School Musical 2, has convinced him that he is now a big-boy in Hollywood. One of the thing’s that’s made him believe he’s the next Michael Jackson, is that he claims, “I know, for instance, at my cousin’s school, there’s a club called the I Hate Zac Efron Club.”
Well there you go, Zac. You’re huge!! Hell, he’s already covering his face for the paparazzi!

Pre-teen-hottie Zac Efron must be stoked! High School Musical 2 is apparently a huge, huge deal. Not only are there over 17 million viewers, but they’ve more than doubled the amount of viewers from the first High School Musical. Good deal. These kids are all smiles.

Yesterday was the premiere of High School Musical 2, you know, with that pre-teen-hottie, Zac Efron.
Anyway, the stars of the musical were pretty impressed. Turns out they weren’t expecting the hundreds upon thousands of fans they’ve acquired since the first High School Musical.

Can’t say I’ve ever heard of this Zac Efron dude, but wowza, what a pre-teen-hottie! High School Musical teeny-bopper sold the hugest album o’ the year last year, so apparently he’s doing something right.
