He fueled speculation that he was going to join the group after he joined Slash and the other bandmates in the studio. But he says he won’t be fronting VR anytime soon.
He says, “I know and love the Velvet Revolver guys but there is no truth to the story about me joining their band.”
Other possible Scott Weiland replacements have been named as Sebastian Bach, Royston Langdon, and Chris Cornell.
I wish they’d pick someone already. I can’t wait to hear some …read more

He also squashed the Sebastian Bach rumors, while he was at it. He says, “No. No, it’s a lot cooler than that but I don’t know if it’s going to happen so I can’t say. It’s cool that people are calling us and wanting to get in the band, so that’s exciting.”

Contrary to what you might have heard, former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach will not be joining the Velvet Revolver guys. He has said that he’ll be working with VR guitarist Slash on an upcoming project, but he’s keeping mum on the details.
He says that he’s been sworn to secrecy about the new project, but said it was “mind-blowing”.
I guess that remains to be seen. But if Bas still has it like he used to, then it might be good.

Velvet Revolver scrap reality TV plans?
Velvet Revolver has reportedly scrapped plans to turn their search for a replacement for Scott Weiland into a reality show.
I guess they didn’t want to go the same way that Tommy Lee did when doing Rockstar Supernova?
Matt Sorum says, “We felt that wasn’t the right forum for us to do it, so we got some ideas and we should have that news in a couple weeks… and I think it’s going to surprise everybody.”
I hope they get someone good…..I’d hate to see VR fall by the wayside.
Any guesses what they’ve got up their sleeves?

Apparently, Chris Cornell is the fan favorite to replace Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver. I’m not so sure yet. I haven’t had a minute to really think about all of the free agent singers out there.
I like Sebastian Bach a lot more. And he’s sexier.
Who do you think should replace Scott Weiland? And don’t say Axl Rose, or I’ll kick your butt myself.
