Whitney Houston gave an intimate interview to Oprah Winfrey for a show that airs next week. She detailed her life, her drug habit, and her marriage to Bobby Brown.

She says that she struggled with crack cocaine so much when she was married that she wore pajamas for seven months.
She also revealed that she hit a downward spiral right after the success of her movie, “The Bodyguard”. She says that she really slipped into the background when she got hooked, leaving Bobby in the spotlight.

I never thought I’d be able to write those words any time soon, but it’s official!! Whitney Houston’s comeback album is due out in September 2009! Woot!

Houston’s new album is set to be released on September 1st on Arista Records. The untitled album will be her seventh studio record since making her debut in 1985, and the followup her 2002 album, “Just Whitney”.

Whitney Houston is making her comeback! Finally!!
She’s reportedly headlining Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards party in February, which happens to be a month before she drops her next album.
She is said to be performing the new songs that she recorded with Davis at the party in Hollywood on February 6th.
Her new album is still untitled and is due to hit stores in March.

Sources say that troubled singer Whitney Houston has been lined up by billionaire philanthropist John Caudwell to give a rare one-hour performance at the Cauldwell Children Legends Ball at London’s Battersea Evolution arena on May 8th.
A source said: “Mr. Caudwell thinks it is important to raise the profile of the Cauldwell Children charity and stars such as Whitney Houston are the sort of people he’s hoping to attract.”

Whitney Houston is set to release her long-awaited and much-anticipated comeback album in time for Christmas.
Music mogul Clive Davis has revealed that he has recorded five new tracks with Whitney and he is delighted with the album’s progress.
He said, “It’s really good. We’re looking to release the album in November.”
I hope her voice is still in good shape for her comeback! I’ll be waiting to hear, along with other fans, to see if Whitney Houston can still bring it!
