Joe Satriani’s Lawsuit Against Coldplay Dismissed

Coldplay had been sued over allegedly copying a song from Joe Satriani, titled “If I Could Fly” for their song “Viva La Vida”.

Satriani claimed that the band plagiarized his song and I believed it, as well, due to the similarities in both. The case was dismissed yesterday in a California Court.
NME reports, “Now, according to News.justia.com, the case was dismissed yesterday (September 14) in California Central District Court “upon stipulation”, suggesting that an out-of-court settlement may have been reached.”
That’s the end of that.

Marilyn Manson countersues Madonna Wayne Gacy

Madonna Wayne Gacy, former keyboard player for Marilyn Manson, launched a lawsuit against the morbid rocker for breach of contract. In the lawsuit, Gacy AKA Stephen Bier, alleged that Manson used band money to purchase weird artifacts, instead of giving him his rightful split.
Manson has upped the ante now by countersuing Bier. He is stating in the new lawsuit that his business partnership with Bier was dissolved in the mid ’90s because Bier didn’t carry out agreed obligations.
Will the lawsuit tag ever end???
