Chris Cornell to replace Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver?

Apparently, Chris Cornell is the fan favorite to replace Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver. I’m not so sure yet. I haven’t had a minute to really think about all of the free agent singers out there.
I like Sebastian Bach a lot more. And he’s sexier.
Who do you think should replace Scott Weiland? And don’t say Axl Rose, or I’ll kick your butt myself.

Anybody but Chris or Sebatian Bach…way too much ego’s, the both of them. They need to hold some good auditions and see who is out there waiting for their chance to shine instead of someone with a track record of breaking loose from bands. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for them to do a Rock Star show like INXS did.

How about anybody but Chris Cornell? Ugh. Of course, I’d be singing a different tune if Soundgarden got back together.

Horrible, horrible, horrible idea.
Scott is right, Cornell has too big of an ego to be in another supergroup. That’s why Soundgarden broke up and probably Audioslave too (which was a good thing). I love his music, but his ego is annoying.
Besides, I heard that he’s working on his next solo album with Timbaland.
I just want VR to pick some guy off the street, we all know supergroups don’t work. I guess we’ll find out soon, cause their already working with someone, from what I heard.

You guys have no idea what you’re talking about. Chris Cornell has every right to an ego, being perhaps the finest male rock vocalist alive, but doesn’t have one at all. I pray that Chris doesn’t join this VR as they aren’t up to his high standards.

Wow I cant believe what I am reading. Sebastian Bach should never ever join VR. The man can sing but his voice wont match their style AND it would just seem like some lame 80’s band. Scott Stapp, now thats retarded the man has lost his mind and every song would be about god and faith. not there’s anything wrong with those but thats not VR. VR should DEFINITELY NOT do a rock star show that is the dumbest show. look at what happened to the last 2 bands that tried that out, INXS sucked and fell off the face of the earth and tommy lee’s band was a joke from the beginning. Soundgarden was not a supergroup, and it wasnt chris cornell’s ego that killed audioslave, it was money and credit. the other members were taking credit for his songs that he wrote lyrics to. i wouldnt mind seeing VR pick someone unkown or from some band no one has heard of but the obvious best choice is chris cornell hands down.

No way in hell Sebatian Bach will ever join VR. Sebatian Bach is good friends with Axl Rose and we all know what Slash thinks about Axl.

Wow! The mere thought of even suggesting Scott Stapp baffles me! I think he would be a terrible choice. And talking egotisically…he has the biggest ego I’ve ever seen! That egomanical, alcoholic, fake holy-rolling image of his would probably force VR into indefinite hiatus and utterly killing a once great band.
Personally…and this just my opinion. They should find someone who hasn’t really made a name for themselves yet. To me VR just wouldn’t seem right without Weiland. The same goes for Audioslave, if they were to ever try and find a replacement vocalist, they just couldn’t match up to the great art that’s already been created.

Gotta say I dont believe Chris Cornell has an ego whatsoever. He is good at what he does and demands loyalty from his band mates (Audioslave). He could easily do the VR scene and very likely compose an even better album with the former gunners! It is safe to say VR is in dire need of a talented and devote frontman such as Cornell. Either way they need to steer cleer of the likes of another unstable Weiland or Rose.

I love Chris Cornell but, I don’t think that he’d be right to be in Velvet Revolver. But, you must be smoking Sebastian Bach better and sexier than Chris Cornell yea right. Chris Cornell is one of the great musicians.

I think velvet revolver is just a gay band and chris cornell shouldnt have broken up with audioslave because he’s a giant douchebag but other than that anybody else who commented before me is a fucking flamer

Dudes I think that if Velvet Revolver did a reality show on CBS or something like that…That would be the gayest thing on earth…As far as Scott Stapp for VR? We all know he is a Eddie Vedder rip off and he’s a jerk…Chris Cornell is a awesome choice for a frontman…but he might kinda have an ego issue…I think what VR is doing on Youtube is a good thing…They’re smart people they will most likely find a good frontman. Chris Cornell all the way or some new guy. Who knows?
