Dr. Dre is launching a premium range of alcohol

Dr. Dre is adding alcohol connoisseur to his resume, as he’s set to launch a premium brand of cognac in a new venture with Drinks American Holdings Inc. The rapper has become an equity owner in the beverage firm, which also produces and markets non-alcoholic beverages.

The company’s first line of drinks with Dre will include the super premium cognac and a sparkling vodka.

Dre is rumored to also be looking into entering the imported premium tequila business.

He says, I’m always down for a new challenge. When Drinks American approached me about going into business with them, I knew there was a lot of competition out there, but it was the same way when I started doing music. I’m going to put the best product out there, because that’s what I do.”
