Lionel Richie is hinting around that there might be a Commodores comeback reunion tour.
Sources say that his former bandmates want to reunite after bassist Ronald LaPread joined Lionel on stage during his last tour to perform hits such as Three Times A Lady.
Lionel says that the reunion will have to happen in the next two years before any other band members die. Guitarist Milan Williams died from cancer in 2006 at the age of 58.
He says, “We better do it now, or in the next ten years nobody would care.”
Well, it’s kind of morbid to put a rush on it because of the threat of impending death, but they were a good group. Hopefully they’ll stage a big comeback.
