Amy Winehouse’s last performance is rumored to be the Isle of Wight’s Bestival show this coming September.
Her father Mitch says, “From September 6th we are not going to be doing any more work for the forseeable future. Amy will be concentrating on writing for the new album. She has five gigs that she is contractually obliged to do but Amy feels, and I feel, and the record company feel that is enough live performing for the time being. We want her to relax.”
She is going to finally be concentrating on not being a crackhead…FINALLY!!
This is reportedly going to be the last of the High School Musical franchise in which Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale’s nose, and Zac Efron will be acting together.
Enjoy the trailer, I didn’t! (Probably because I’m not eight-years-old?)
We hear that Scarlett Johansson designed a t-shirt that went on sale Friday night at Intermix in Los Angeles, with a percentage of the proceeds going to VH1’s Save The Music.
Well, if she can’t sing (and she can’t), might as well do some good for music, right?
Ian McLagan is fueling rumors that Faces is going to make a comeback., as Rod Stewart has finally agreed to a reunion.
The group split up in ‘75 when bassist Ronnie Wood went on to join The Rolling Stones and Rod Stewart doing his own thing.
In case you haven’t ever heard Faces, check them out below, doing Stay With Me, Live. Rod was lookin’ hot decently cute for the 70’s, back in the day….too bad, now he’s just wrinkled.
Ian McLagan has confirmed recently that they plan to get back together.
He says, “We’re hoping to get together later this year to play and then we may have some news, but I want it to happen, badly. Rod hasn’t wanted to do it for a long time. He didn’t see the need in it but I think he really wants to now. It’s going to be great if it does happen. The Stones aren’t going to tour for over a year so Woody has a window of opportunity; Rod has a window approaching.”
I can’t wait, I’m a big fan of Rod Stewart’s voice. I guess he figures that he’s made his gazillions so he can do the Faces thing with no repercussions.
After Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis both were rumored to be doing the Bond theme, we’re now hearing that the honor is going to Alicia Keys.
Considering how much I don’t care for Leona Lewis’ singing or how much Crackie Amy Winehouse bugs me, I think it’s a good thing that they’re actually considering someone with some real talent.
A rep for Alicia declined to comment stating that there’s no info available.
The Osbournes are reportedly set to return to television to do their own variety show.
The show doesn’t have a name yet, but will feature musical performances (yeah!) and comedy sketches, and may even include a segment in which the Osbournes meet another family of the same name and spend time with them.
The series is due to launch with a Christmas special and will see Ozzy “skewering pop culture” and will play up the sibling rivalry between Kelly and Jack.
Reportedly, Madge has asked Britney Spears to join her on her Sticky & Sweet tour.
In an obvious attempt at helping Britney revive what’s left of her career, Madonna has reportedly reached out to Britney Spears to get her on the stage with her. Possibly some walk on performances?
The pair recorded some video footage which will be used as a backdrop for the tour, yesterday.
Alice Cooper has said that he wants to work with The Mighty Boosh on a goth-rock musical. Noel Fielding said that he is a huge fan of Alice and wondered if he’d ever considered writing an acid rock gothic musical.
Alice said that he’d do it, he says, “I love those guys! I’m in England a lot, so I’m very aware of Little Britain and The Mighty Boosh. And I’d love to work with them!”
