Once someone who played to thousands upon thousands of people, Jessica Simpson has resorted to performing at a bingo hall. I bet somewhere in the world Carrie Underwood is laughing her butt off. Jess performed her act at the 2,500-capacity San Miguel Indian Bingo & Casino on November 13th and the accomodations were less than what she’s used to.
An insider says, “Jessica’s dressing room at the bingo hall was a little larger than a broom closet.” Ouch! The source added, “There’s an iron, but no ironing board. There’s not even a fridge!”
Times are tough…but it makes me wonder if Jessica’s rep is going to tell us that she’s down-to-Earth and a person just like the rest of us. They’ll probably say that she doesn’t need any of those ritzy accomodations, she’s a true “country girl.”

The remaining members of Led Zeppelin have already decided to tour next year without Robert Plant. Much to my dismay, they are auditioning replacements for Plant and are going to name their band something else.
Paul McCartney has come forward to express his disappointment at the band for reuniting without Plant. He basically says that the reunion won’t be the same without Plant.
He says, “What’s happened to Planty? He was great at their gig. It’s such a pity.”
Agreed!

Metallica says that they tare considering releasing their next album as an internet only download. The reason for that? It’s because they are free agents without any current record deal. They are out from under their deal with Warner Music Group and they’re thinking about their options in regards to a followup.
They just might be going the way of Radiohead and releasing their next album on the internet.
Lars Ulrich says, “We’re free of our record contract. We have that element of complete freedom with the next record, so we can do whatever we want. We could do an internet thing. I wouldn’t hold my breath for another Metallica record. I’m still decompressing and coming down from the whole experience of the last one, but if we spit one out every four or five years that’s not so bad.”
I’d listen to it, but only if they gave it away.

Jay-Z will be taking the stage along with Coldplay as a special guest on three of their shows in the U.K. next year. According to the Press Association, the shows will take place next September and tickets will start at £40.
How many of us still think that Coldplay is trying to go out with a bang?

Britney Spears is reportedly set to make a surprise appearance at the American Music Awards this Sunday. It’s being said that she will perform at the event to mark her comeback to the music scene.
The host, Jimmy Kimmel has hinted that they are planning a secret performance, but they aren’t giving any of the details as to who they have lined up.
Jimmy says that he isn’t even privy as to who the organizers have in mind for the secret performance. He says, “They have these surprises that 75 people on the crew know about, but they won’t tell the host. Apparently, there is some big surprise. I sent…the producer an email yesterday and he was like, ‘I can’t tell you.’”
Already set to take the stage are Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, Taylor Swift, and Kanye West. The show will be broadcast live on ABC, Sunday.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has hinted around that he has plans to split the band up by the end of next year. He says that the decision was based on his view that bands should give it up before they get too old. He says that he wants to go out with a blast.
He says, “I’m 31 now and I don’t think that bands should keep going past 33. So we’re trying to pack in as much as possible. Up until the end of next year, we’ll just go for it in every sense. I don’t believe in time off. We’ve still got most of our hair, we can still fit into our musical trousers and we’ve got to make the most of that.”
It’s crazy for them to think that they’re too old for the business at 33. If AC/DC had the same mentality at that age, we would’ve missed a lot of their best music.

Courtney Love gave us a taste of what her Myspace blog on steroids is like on Monday. With posting about 60 entries, including accusing her housekeeper of theft and linking to numerous dresses that she’d wear, we all thought she was just plain crazy. And she still might be, I’m not an expert.
Now, she says that she wants to give up blogging because it upsets Francis Bean too much. She says that anytime she publishes a post, it hits the headlines and the backlash upsets her daughter.
In one of her marathon posts, she says, “PLEASE leave my kid out of it. When I make a technical booboo or get a little whacky (sic)…my problem.”
I don’t think she should quit blogging, but spellcheck wouldn’t hurt. And maybe put out a new album sometime this decade.

Rumor has it that Rihanna is pregnant with Chris Brown’s baby. Crazy news, considering that they’re supposedly just friends. AllieIsWired is reporting that she heard it on the radio that the news was confirmed. We’re not sure on this one, and it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility, so we decided to run with it. This is a rumor site, after all.
The reader’s quote was, “I said this months ago and no one wanted to believe me, but it has now been confirmed that Rihanna is pregnant with Chris Brown’s baby.”
Interesting. Let’s see if this story catches fire enough to see if there’s a confirmation or a denial by Rihanna’s spokesperson.

Former drummer for Guns N Roses, Steven Adler has dreams of a Guns N Roses reunion. And who doesn’t? I mean, besides Slash and Duff McKagan?
Steven Adler wants a reunion as soon as he can kick his drug habit. The drummer pleaded no contest to a heroin possession charge on Friday in an effort to not get tossed into jail. His mouthpiece says that Steven wants to clean up his act so that he can rejoin Guns N Roses.
He says, “When gets sober they’ll accept him into the band and then they’ll do a comeback album and a world tour, that’s the dream of Steven Adler.”
Maybe he just realized that he really is a nobody?

Despite all of the rumors that you may have heard, Miley Cyrus is not dead. In a hoax by a Youtube hacker, Miley’s best friend Mandy Jiroux supposedly announced her death on their Youtube channel. She claimed on the site that Miley was killed by a drunk driver.
Miley’s song, Goodbye played in the background as Mandy delivered this message: “Hey guys, this is Mandy and I have some very sad news :( …We’re very hurt to tell everyone this, but Miley died this morning after being hit by a drunk driver. Miley told us if anything ever happened to her, then we should let her fans know before the public…R.I.P. honey, we will miss you so much.”
Mandy has called BS on the hoax on her Myspace page saying, “MILEY IS OK!! some1 hacked the miley and mandy youtube account”.
