Velvet Revolver in talks with a “big name” vocalist?
According to Blabbermouth, Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum has spilled the beans that the band is talking to a “big guy” that is thinking about taking on vocals for the band.
He also squashed the Sebastian Bach rumors, while he was at it. He says, “No. No, it’s a lot cooler than that but I don’t know if it’s going to happen so I can’t say. It’s cool that people are calling us and wanting to get in the band, so that’s exciting.”
Of the singer, he says, “We got a call from a pretty big guy who wants to be our singer. I can’t say who that is yet but talks are happening about it and hopefully we’ll see what happens in the next couple of months.”
I hope it’s not Royston Langdon, I wouldn’t be too excited about that one. He was the frontman for Spacehog.
Rumors recap: No Sebastian Bach, no reality tv show to find a singer, no Chris Cornell, and Chester Bennington was also thinking of joining?
I hope whoever they choose can bring the same electric show that Scott Weiland did. I saw them in concert in support of their Contraband album, and it was just on fire. Scott was all over the place with his megaphone and the show just rocked. Glad I got to experience them in concert before he left. Hope his replacement is just as good.
Any guesses as to who it’s going to be?
